Solar Cooling in the Agricultural Sector
The SelfChill team, together with Jungle Harvest and the Alliance for Rural Electrification, invites you to a field trip and workshop on solar cooling technologies on 24 April 2026 in Thika, Kenya.
The tour is part of EAIF 2026 and is exclusively organized for EAIF participants. Find further info on EAIF 2026 here.
Cold chain technology is a critical component of modern agricultural systems. It has the potential to open up new markets for high-value crops, reduce post-harvest losses, and increase farmers’ and traders’ profits. The SelfChill team has implemented projects across Africa, deploying solar cooling systems in agricultural value chains, including one of its first installations in Thika, Kenya, at the herb farm Jungle Harvest.
