Innovators Workshop on Solar Cooling in Tamale/Ghana

In November, the SelfChill team was on an extensive project trip in Accra and Tamale.

In Accra we met several partner companies and attended the WACEE. This was followed by technical trainings at the cold room installation in Tamale. An open visitors day at the cold room was also organized, welcoming interested stakeholders.

One highlight of the trip was the Innovators Workshop at HopIn Academy Tamale. Together with this well-known regional innovation hub, SelfChill organized a two-day workshop for entrepreneurs

More than 20 young entrepreneurs from the agricultural sector gathered their ideas on new business models with solar cooling solutions improving food quality and food safety in agricultural value chains.

As part of the workshop we visited the SelfChill Solar Cold Room operated by Green-Ef Eco Village in Tamale storing fruits and vegetables.

It has been a pleasure to develop ideas with real innovators! Thanks a lot for hosting us, sharing your insights and searching for solutions together!

Looking forward to pushing the solar cooling sector together!
